The security guard at a pawn shop in a small port town, the seasick scion of a family of sailors, falls in love with the mistress of one of his best customers, a man who is constantly in debt. Under pressure from the mafia, the customer persuades his girlfriend to meet with the security guard and distract him while he commits a robbery.
